My 83 - Heaven take you and not let hell bake you! R.I.P.

Post by terceldude »

Here are some pictures of the Terc I miss, my beloved 83!!!!! I miss this car badly and wish I still had it for simple reasons...... I am the one in the green shirt and that woman is my mom and the guy there is, the seller. He was in the U.S. Coast Guard..... His name I guess I could only privately disclose that to you, but this car was bought in 1999 around the same time my mom bought a new 1999 Honda Civic LX 4-door sedan in black.... I wish one of you were to buy this car off my hands and not see it go to the parts yard, . I cried a lot on my way back from the parts yard because I look at cars as if they are people and demand they be treated as if they are a person..... That makes me unique I guess..... But by golly I miss this car so much I want to get revenge on my neighbor who called the police about it being unmarked (no license plates and just sitting in my driveway for a while)..... Typrus had a similar neighbor issue regarding one of his 86's I guess. Boy, I sure wish I could get revenge at both cop and neighbor, but I can't.......        There's more to the story, but you'll have to PM me for those details, meanwhile enjoy the pics while I stare at them and cry my butt off!!!

Rest In Peace My Old Friend!!!

If one of my neighbor's did that to mine, and i found out which one did it, he'd better watch out. His brakes might "accidentally" not work one day.

Thank you for the kind support, Mattel. You would be one of my best friends if I lived in Melbourne, I guess..... Like I said in a PM I sent you, we would definitely be driving our Tercs together, maybe even in the back woods, not sure though.... Currently my 87 has Goodyear Concorde 185/70TR13 M&S SBR tires on it that were made in Poland... I love them.... They look so cool and feel pretty smooth too... :D

The seller of the 83 was in the U.S. Coast Guard and his name was Gregg. He was pretty cool. Too bad the exhaust was something on the car that my mother failed to have had replaced because of a $400 price tag.... Stupid prices..... :x If I could find the car again, I'd drive it home if I could, replace the shocks and struts, and everything that was replaced on my 87 on the 83. I loved that car and it's stick shift. I wonder if shogun would have shipped it to his country, fixed it up, and raced it, lol.

Here's a really good pic I found of the 83, as well as something I wrote on the back of the pic...

there are still some TERCEL 4WD out there for sale and check which state that dont use SALT on road which are best car to buy (very limit rust ) better buy very soon ,i have the feeling next five years in future will be rare and value will go up too! let hope you or your son know basic mechanic skills , that will help to keep the repair cost down , for example no rust car i paid $900 us if 1,500 max i would go for it only if mechanical /windsheild/ tires and smog test pass are in very good cond., parts can replace BUT body can not replace because it will rust again and again even if try fixing it . wish you luck in future.

Aww thank you toughtercel, but I am already enjoying my 87 right now but I may try to get another 83 at some point in the future in which case I will need the "good luck" wishes! Thank you too, terkill! ;))
