Parts wanted for the rear sway bar

Post by fawmaine »

I would like some help locating bushings for the rear sway bar links of my 1988 wagon. Rock Auto didn't have them. I think it was Auto Parts Warehouse that I tried as well to no avail. What is the chance of finding used parts that will be in good shape? Any leads will be most welcome. Thanks. Ned Whiting

Ned -
Try Butler Toy in Indy. They have always been very helpful to me, and the prices are truly OK.
The site is http://www.toyotaoemparts.com/
This link is to the "Master" site; you will have to do some drilling - follow the dropdown at the left - hint - our cars are considered a "Classic Vehicle" in the "Year" section...
You will eventually wind up in the Rear Suspension section. Don't worry if all of the bits are not shown as a price, or even not shown as available - many times NLA parts are available through Butler - they are good!
Send them an email with the description of the bushings; I'd suggest getting the "real" name from the FSM available on our Home page. Mention the Club/Tom in STL; not that either will get you a d-d-d-discount, but just to let them know we use them (others in the Club have as well). If you call (free), ask for Kyle or Mark.
