This morning when I started the engine (84 SR5), the RPM jumped to max immediately. The accelerator cable is frayed and was tuck at the end of its housing. Gotta find a new cable.

good thing that happened in your driveway instead of coming up to a traffic light. a good reason to keep the cable lubricated.
