Like that steering wheel.

that crack isnt too bad. mostly annoying. as long as you dont have wild temperature swings you should be fine.

Yes, i have noticed that the cracks have stopped spreading. I think that the windshield has somehow been reinforced by the full tint, just hope that i could source a replacement soon. :( I will be replacing the steering too as its small diameter requires some effort despite the P/S.

remove the belt for the power steering, might see a mpg or 2 gain. I just took mine off, and it's not a big deal. Still not hard to turn.

I worked on a farm and only a few of the rigs had power steering, turning a 3/4 ton vehicle stacked with equipment? now that's hard.

Also our diesel truck (fueling truck) didn't have power steering and that was kind difficult to turn.

but with the tercels..you definitely dont need power steering.

If i remove the P/S belt, won't that destroy the power steering components (like the pump)? it happened to me once when i broke the drive belt of my corolla, the pump sprung a leak.

I'm leaving only a little fluid in it to keep pressure down, and I dont ever actually using the pump again so that's not a big deal. I guess you could actually remove the lines and cap everything off.

What hub did you use for your steering wheel?
1983 brown tercel 4wd wagon daily "Turk" in the process of lifting
1983 white tercel 4wd wagon "J.D." trying to get it running
