after lookng into the 20V swap a little on the corolla GTS forums, I'm actually thinking it would be a pretty easy swap into a tercel with a little wiring know-how.
the problem with the AE-86 is that you have to wire it into a pre-existing EFI wiring harness, in the tercels case all you have to do is supply a voltage to the ECU on start up, memory and then a VSS (or just buy a VSS pulse generator). then there is the obvious like installing a high pressure fuel pump in the system, probably under the hood so you would only need a short length of high pressure fuel hose. for the exhaust, i would just use the FWD exhaust header, then route it under the engine and into the existing system, and of course swap the tercels oil pan and pick up tube. kits to make the cooling system compatible with a AE-86 (and our cars too) are readily available.
the reason i started thinking about this is that after you end up rebuilding a 4a-c or 3a-c engine you'll end up spending almost the same, but with substantially less power.

Many people wish that was so! They first rev 20v 4age is over rated at 165hp @ 7800rpm and 120ft/lb @ 5600rpm. A very amazing engine indeed, but not a torque monster by any means.ESI-RStarion wrote:Don't the 20v silvertops throw down around 160 hp and tq?
