has anyone put an 92 1.5L terc motor in an old 4wd 84 terc?

If its the 3E engine, its not worth it.
Anything that is not an "A" series engine (3"A"C, 4"A"FE, etc) will be more trouble than you likely want to deal with.

It'd be less work to do a 4AFE swap. Someone just did one here. Do a search.

The E-series is also crap, I had one in my 87 2 door and the thing was junk, worst I have owned. My mechanic said they got better in the 90's but I still wouldn't risk it.

it was a cheapo econo engine, the A-series is a great block, bulletproof to boot.

the best ones are from the AE101, 4 rib casting and oil cooled pistons (oil squirter's). the block itself can handle 250HP at 11,000RPM a feat that can only be achieved by very few I4 engines. think Honda B-series only better.

mods: ignition at 10 DBTDC and 90 octane gas.
