tvsv cast housing

Post by rj777 »

HELP...just swapped a 4ac into my 85 wagon...this is driving me mad...the tvsv screws into a cast housing that is then attached to the manifold...it is a radiator cutoff tube as well...I need a new one of these and can't find a name or listing for the part...I know you guys know what this baby is called and where I might be able to get one ...the tvsv works fine so I don't need that...thanks

It looks like it is called the 'water outlet housing' in the pdf manual we have here...

why don't you just go to a self-service wrecking yard (pull-a-part, pick-your-part, etc.) and get one. should only be a few dollars there I would think, and it only takes a few minutes to remove with the right tools. And you do not need to know what it is called or the part number. It would not be a normal parts store item, and I would be surprised if the deal could still get it.

Good luck
