Blow-by problem?

Post by tercel4wdrules »

I finally got my car back on the road. It has a new Daikin clutch and a left ball joint. In the beginning the clutch pedal was very loose, but now, 600 miles later, it feels normal. No more clutch chatter! The transaxle was very low on oil, so my mechanic filled it up. Fortunately, it seems like no damage was done, so far. 2nd gear syncros work way better now, no more grinding. Upshifting into 3rd sometimes grinds... I'm trying to go as easy as possible on it. Ran a can of Seafoam thru it. 2/3rds went into the tank and the rest down the carb. I seem to have a pinging problem. It pings under load at half-throttle, sometimes heavily. I didn't have this problem before.

The rear brakes were adjusted and we found out that the adjusters were switched, the left on the right , and the right was on the left. No wonder my parking brake wouldn't hold my car up an incline. It was fixed and now the brake pedal is firmer and the parking brake actually feels like a parking brake! I can't believe I paid those incompetent "mechanics" to replace my rear brakes!

Now my question is that I have a significant amount of oil on the air cleaner, I mean like 3-4 tablespoons... it seems to be coming out of the breather tube and the HIC valve area. It has good power. Maybe the rings are sticking?

Make sure your PCV valve is free?
Give a boy a gun-give a biatch a cell phone-and pretty soon you almost got yourself a police state.

too much oil in crankcase?
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
