Anybody Need Anything From My 85?

Post by neonsport »

The guy who was supposed to buy my 85 hasn't come through, so it looks like I'll be stripping some parts off and hauling it to the junkyard next week. Let me know if there's anything you need, and I'll see what I can do about a price.

The car is an 85 SR5 4WD with a standard transmission. The clutch is completely fried, so I don't know about the transmission, The car only has a little over 150k miles. The rear differential should be good. The seats are gone, actually they're in my 86 2WD.

how about a drivers side window and a passenger side mirror? I haven't been able to find either of these locally.

Thanks - Josha

The PM system has been throwing that message for quite a while, but the messages go through anyway. I'll ship to Minnesota, no problem, and I'll try to get a quote tonight.

I've got everything but the oil pan sitting here in a box. I'm planning on having that out within the next couple of days. One thing I found out from pulling your parts is that the reinforcing bar you needed is something the 2WD didn't come with. I'm going to pull them from another 4WD to add to my wagon.

I would be interested in the right rear passenger side window as mine is gone and the plexi-glass is getting old. I also need the the little plastic door close handle that goes on the inside of the door, anyone of the four would fit. Do you still have the stock radio and the little tray below the radio?

Let me know and where are you located?

I have those parts, but I'm not sure if the radio is any good. What color is your interior? I'm located in Arkansas, but shipping isn't an issue.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It is Christamas so it gets hectic! My Tercel's interior color is brown. Let me know. Thanks

I could really use the passenger headlight/marker light assembly and the passenger tail-light assembly. I got in a little accident with my 1985 Terdel, the last ice storm we got up here in NY sent me spinning into a wire guardrail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

I'll go through your list when I get home, I should be able to help on most of your list. I don't currently have a good carburetor, but the one on my car (a reman from Holley) will be available as soon as I do the 4AC swap.

I also need a new cruise control cable. Mine is worn / broken (and bent) off at the carburetor.

And the 2 screws that hold in the glove compartment latch...

I don't have a cruise control cable, but I can get one. I'll need to see a pic of your cruise setup to see if it's factory or one of the aftermarket types.
