What is entailed in swap a weber for my crappy aisin?
Does the linkage fit?
Do I need an adapter plate for the intake?
Will the swap affect how my a/c works?
What type of air cleaner assembly will I need?
Thanks again..
Casey

Has anyone tried to put the weber on without the adapter? From the pics I've seen it appears that the bolt pattern is similar. Does any one have pics of the gasket for the weber and the aisin carb side-by-side? I think I might be able to get the weber to fit without the adapter, I've done it on other intakes.

They are significantly different enough that it will not work. The spacing is 1/4" more narrow and 1 1/4" shorter on the Holley 5200 (same footprint as a 32/36 DGV) as compared with the Aisan.

Thats what I was thinking as well...splatterdog wrote:Your A/C might need an idle solenoid as well. I'll find out when I finally move the 86's engine into the 85. I've slightly considered one just for alternator drag when the headlights are on or the heater is on high.
Just a thought.
