check all engine compartment fuel lines. Also check the diaphrame thingy on the same side of the carb as the trottle cable. Mine gave an occautional drip that evaporated off the heat sheild below it. I understand this is fairly common. Easy to change out.

I've always had a little bit of seepage mostly seen at the back and base of the carb after running a while.

To check the fuel pump one can look directly behind it on the firewall- is there an oily residue?
Thats does tend to give a nice reeky gassy smell.
In the back hatch area. Look under the carpet. Make sure the little hatch thing is tight. You might even be inclinded to remove it and make sure the fuel sender port right below it is tight on.
