In need of 83-84 Tranny or 84+ Tranny & Rear End

Post by ESI-RStarion »

Probably a long shot but does anyone in the Portland Oregon / Vancouver Washington have a 83-84 Tranny or 84+ Tranny and Rear End? My brother and I both have tercs, he blew his tranny and I blew mine in the same week  I bought his terc off of him since mine had frame damage, Maz-Toy auto recycling wants $500 for just a tranny and the junk yards near me don't have any T4WD trannies. (I got the only one upull it had and it was blown also)

It's too bad you're 1,800 miles away from me. My car is up for grabs for the first $100 that comes my way. Drivetrain works fine, but the body is shot.

That would be great but I think my mom would kill me if I brought home another car, right now I have an 1983 Terc 4wd SR5 (lifted with larger wheels and tires, the white on I posted pics of) Frame damage and no tranny. 1984 Terc 4WD SR5 also no tranny, the reason I got it from my brother.(Non lifted with original wheels on it, stock size tires interior is great it rear ended someone so it has a salvaged title but no frame damage just mashed in the front clip, insurance company repaired it. My brother bought it this way, still needs some exterior fixups to look decent. Great story though we got like 5 inches of snow here, my brother saw the ad on craigslist after he'd been looking for awhile the guy had 4 or 5 others after the car but they couldn't make it out there in the snow, and it didn't have a starter, so me my dad and my brother piled in my terc mashed out there and I pull started him, thank god for 4wd el and studded tires all the way around, oh and it was in a ditch lol! this was after the first bit of snow had melted and froze so there was 1-2 inches of ice under the snow.) And I have my 1985.5 Mitsubishi Starion, Doing an engine swap on it but I've had terc issues since I got my new job so it hasn't seen any money =(. But anyways, I found a 84 tranny at a junkyard, gears in it are perfect but i'm going to replace the bearings in it so it doesn't get destroyed as well. So I have 1 tranny, and 2 tercs. It's going to go into the 84 to be my daily driver, I think the 83 will be converted to 4.10 and used as a wheeling rig, lol or winter beater.

I live in gresham, It needs the headlight trim, both sides. with the inner turn signals attached and the driver side running light. I'll post pictures of what I'm talking about.
