The car that got away

Let me tell you that I just turned 27.
I graduated high school in 1998.
My first car was a 1977 International Scout II with a 345, 4 spd manual, good shape (no rust, never been around a rusty car )!
I sold it because it needed a clutch and used to much gas.
I replaced it with a 1987 hyundai excell that I drove the wheels off of. On my last day at mechanics school I sold that to a "Dennys" waiter for $200 in change (heavy!) Since then I have had a list of unremarkable cars. (85 ranger, 83 escort, 85 olds caliegh...)
To this day I wish I would have never gotten rid of that Scout II.
My father still tells stories of him and his friends wrecking GTO's Comaro's, Mustangs... during his youth.
I would like to know of some of the cars you have gotten rid of and later wished you hadn't.
I have a feeling that my tercel will be one of these.

Most definately my 1974 Jeep CJ-5. Inline 6 with a 4 barrel carb, triple core radiator, headers, A/M valves and cam, Jacob's ignition, centerforce clutch, spring-over-axle conversion, 1 inch spring lift, 2 inch body lift, 6 point frame mounted roll cage, EVERY gauge possible (all Stewart Warner), ARB air locker up front, Detroit locker in the rear, 5 position transfer case (4Hi, 2Hi, N, 2Low, 4Low), 3 spd tranny, Dana 60 in back, Dana 44 up front from a IH Scout, Gumbo Monster Mudders all around (including spare), three different tops (full, fastback, and bikini), Warn 10,000lb winch in front, Warn 6,000lb winch in rear.

It was a true rock climber, but I destroyed it breaking it in by driving it non-stop from LA to Seattle. Ended up selling it in Seattle because there was no way it would make it back to LA (I was in the navy in Long Beach and visiting parents in Seattle).

That was a VERY sad day in my life.
