very cool! :D

Did he make it all by hand, or is it from a Land Rover or something? You have a switch inside or something to switch to the snorkel? :D

It's all made by hand. It's direct beetween air filter and schnorkel
In order to see how it hooks up under the hood, see this link :

That's for some REALLY DEEP water! Just make sure the bellows is leak proof...the one on top of the transmission.

OK - this may seem like a naive question, but I just gotta ask: What exactly is the purpose of the schnorchel?
If it is for fording, wouldn't all of the electrical things and the dipstick hole have to be sealed, as well as the floor pan? Plus other items I'm missing?
Is the real purpose to keep water and crud from the occasional big puddle and mudhole out of the air intake? As opposed to true fording, that is?
OK to laugh now - but I remember the frustration our Motor Pool wrenches used to have with access to/working on the "waterproof" systems on the vehicles back in the '60s. My own jeep did not work well until "that stuff" was removed - 'course, the governor was removed as well...

Excellent! I think that is the tallest Tercel I have seen. Are you going to raise the front to 28cm too? Are you going to put on taller tires now?

Hey, that's kind of odd, the photo with the Corolla and the Terc side by side I mean. My Dad's got his Tercel wagon plus a 90 Corolla wagon that are parked side by side like that sometimes. Other than the colours, that same scene can be found in their driveway. Small world. Or something.

Hello! For before the maximun that one can make it is 5cm moreover, otherwise if one wants to go higher it is necessary to re-examine the suspention before complettement... But for compensser one puts larger tires, of aillor my future proget is to put wheels into 15"

Tom M.

On our premises in the south of France there are all shapes of reliefs and and the rivers... Thus for what one does with our TERCELS, the SHNORKEL is useful for the passages has gets and also for proteger the aspiration of the air of dust, bus has enters it of the SHNORKEL there is a standard aspiration the SAHARA who retains dust and lets aspire the air and more the aspiration of the air is high, plus the engine aspires air COLD, which is very good for the output. For the passages has gets, the system is etanche and our cars do not have the electronique one, only one puts a interuptor on the electrical loom of the alternator to cut it for steps which roast when one crosses gets major   _________________
