coltarms, Rjm3, and Lollypop, I AM OK! Would you please stop accusing me of picking fights, which is obviously not true. It seems like, it seems like... Aw, weird talk. Anyways, I am not trying to pick fights. I am trying to make a point about the next Tercel I buy. Actually the next Tercel I'm planning to buy comes with a manual, so I guess I may have to learn a manual, or so I think?!
Anyways, the manual transmission and automatic transmission on our JDM versions of our cars has buttons for AUTO, SPORT and NORMAL for the TEMS or TOYOTA ELECTRONICALLY MODULATED SUSPENSION system, (road-sensing suspension). The sedan I'm importing comes with either a manual or automatic, but has Right Hand Drive. I'm getting the automatic one. The gear ratios differ slightly, though. I'll have it converted to LHD before it's loaded on the ship.

And - it had 1535 unique hits! Not all were from us!
Further proof that these little guys engender interest, which can only go up as gas prices increase; not that they're super economical, but that they are 30+ MPG, have a lot of usable room, and are maintainable by non-professionals with a modicum of equipment.
I note that it was sniped in the last few seconds by a single bid by someone in Bridgeport, CT. The winner has a feedback of but 10 with 1 Negative, so if anyone is really interested, it might behoove them to contact the seller for a Second Chance Bid in the event the winner reneges.

T4WD augury?

I learned t drive on my grandpa's 1960 Chevy Pickup. Column shift, 3 speed, non syncro. I ONLY drove that, until my DMV drivers test, then drove my mom's brand new Olds Cutlass. Auto tranny, power brakes, etc. Boy, did I fail badly. Had to practice on the Olds to pass.

Justin - this was told to me by a restorer of orphan BritMobiles in Dallas (who bought my '52 Singer
in 2003) when I asked him to keep an eye out for an SR5, reasoning that they didn't get much snow
(ergo, much salt) down thataway: "They didn't sell well down South cause it wasn't a macho enough
4-wheeler for the good ol' boys down here..." His words, not mine, I hasten to add.

Yea I kinda figgered that but Toyota may have been surprised because I get alot of attention paid to me and my Myrtle. They first sometimes argue with me about whether its a 4WD or not then they go to "yea but thats an AWD" then I squash that by pointing at the transfercase. After all this there like DAMN thats kool I want one of these then some of em I take out behind the graveyard where a muddy patch of woods are and show em what Myrtle with her 4A heart will do all I have to do is drive off leaving em droolin'. Ya gotta love it.
Im gonna little by little finish up the car itself (ex. suspension) then Ima build a brush guard, safari rack, rock rails, and the like (I already have the steel for all this) Not that my car needs all this to run and for sure not that Ima "need" rails (no rocks in south Miss.) and things like this ......But damn its gonna draw attention and ya gotta love attention.
