Grumble Grind Grumble... When I'm turning left.

Post by SirNik83 »

OK, so I've had my third Tercel for over a year, but for the last 8 months or so I’ve been driving my Mercedes Diesel... but since its summer and fuel is on the up and up I wanted to get the Tercel out and drive it... its much more fun to drive. Anyway, with out going into the whole story, this Tercel was a non running $80 craigslist find. I installed the engine and it runs and drives great. But it has always had a ticking or scraping sound when I turned left. I thought it was the gravel shield on the front driver’s side roter making contact with the rotor... but I tried prying on that and it made it go away for a while and then it came back... I wasn't too worried about it... I thought it was nothing critical. But this morning when I came into the parking lot at work I heard a loud "Grumble Grind Grumbleâ€
My first car was a Tercel, and I'm still driving a Tercel, some people say I need an Intervention.

that sounds like a busted bearing, if its a front one be careful because they break the driveshafts
