Colorado-Adjacent Meet?
Colorado-Adjacent Meet?
How many would be willing to make a trek to some place in Colorado for perhaps a day-long Tercel meet?
So long as I can get work off and have the money, I am willing to drive essentially anywhere within 150 miles of Fort Collins. Not sure the total radius, but thats as far down as the Springs, and further up than Cheyenne.
We'd need a sufficient number of Tercs, and kind of a "Game-Plan" as to what we'd do. Just cruise around? Have some sort of camping trip? Meet, have lunch, and jet off?
I'm not much of an events coordinator, but if we could get maybe 10 rigs then we could maybe even have a weekend camp at Horsetooth Reservoir, or maybe Glendo?
If only maybe 4 or 5 of us could do something, then perhaps meet up, cruise to some lunch-spot, and just chill and talk about our thoughts on the beasties?
I realize that for some folks maybe 400 miles away that just a quick meetup would be useless. But at the same time, we'd need maybe boats, ATV's, or something to keep us busy with over a multi-day event.
There are numerous trails in Colorado, anywhere from "Beat the hell out of your $150,000 rig" to "Lets take the Metro up there!". In parts, there is sand GALOR... Hell, Moab might even be worth hitting up at some point, just for sh!ts and giggles.
If anyone has thoughts, input, or enthusiasm, just say it!
Also, I can very much see a gathering of Tercels from the local 400 miles radius, and a gathering of other obscure vehicles that the Terc owners from beyond that chose to drive instead.
Heck, if 20vTercel wanted to get his beast running, I'm sure many of us would be more than slightly excited to see it.

Either of you seen my Silver terc blasting around, being very obnoxious? Loud bass, moronic, cocky driver? 15" Escort alloy rims?
I'm telling you....... Colorado could be a VERY strong Terc-base.
SVX.... See a lot of those around... Nice Boxer-6... Could use a good Turbo design though.... Those MAF's do cause some problems though. Not quite enough capacity. What about those wheel bearings? Or the transmission cooling system? Fun stuff.
But that cockpit-style cab is awesome.... Not to mention the .029 drag coefficient.......
WAAAAY off-topic... But....

I haven't seen yours around but I am always keeping my eyes peeled for tercs.
The other day Lass and I were driving around in his Terc and honked at another Terc and received a wave.
What if we planned for May 21st?
We should let all the colorado and adjacent folks know so we can get some sort of a "thorough" showing.

Northern ColoTerc-Off??
I'd be in favor of this picking up .some new energy A caampground up the Poudre Canyon could work.Meet here and bring something to eat or grill.Ever been over the top of Independence Mountain?I'm thinking easy is better than grand. Some cars are safariwagons, some are cherry road machines and some "I think I cans" and it is all good.Bruces in Severance?Later;kamiphloj
Colo meet
I'd be interested.Redfeather, then the Manhattan road to Rustic on the Poudre could work.Maybe 7 mile.
Independence Mountain and North Sand hills could work.
I don't mean to cramp the idea of fun,but we may want to have some guidelines. The sorts of things unlawful, unsafe,or likely to leave us trying to retrieve a broken vehicle are perhaps best avoided.
I suspect with the snowpack, mountain unimproved roads will be muddy till June.
There are some folks who practice a tradition called a "burn".
A remote location is selected and posted, along with a time to rally up.
There will be coals and a grill.Bring something to put on it and what you need till morning.Arrive on your own,and we'll see who shows up.I think there is a code that hot dogs are not what to bring.
If Blake's still has a Tercel section,a trip there could be fun.Contacting Blakes first would be best.Louisville is near Erie, there is good Italian food.
