Would require multi-port.... Thus, a custom mannie...
It IS standalone... but.....
Any thoughts or further recommendations?

Would it require a custome intake manifold or a custom head?

theres no difference in tuning and upgradeability between SDS and megasquirt... the SDS is quite alot easier to use... and to remain on teh cheap with megasquirt you have to build it yourself

honestly for the cost of either , and including the custom building time and everything... why not just swap to a 4afe?

maybe I'm just thinking on the lazy lines again

if you really wanna efi your 3a... check out the suzuki TBI.. or the older 80's Bosch fuel only control EFI's (I'm using an 80 200SX efi system on my 78 datsun)

very cool.. but nonethe less maybe not worth it or need it?
looking for an 88 4wd tercel once current project is "done"

78 datsun 620 kingcab 2wd - race and show

86 Camry LE - Daily driver till modded tercel 4wd is "done"

This was started on the line off of me talking about my custom intake manifold... AKA, far better breathability than stock, that and I think the Suzuki single 36mm (or was it 38mm) would be restrictive. Just think, some of us are running a 32/36 Weber, which has TWO inlets, one 32mm the other 36mm.
At any rate, going EFI is bloody friggin expensive.

I think we spent well under $50 for the Suzuki conversion. :)
I think the Suzuki TB's size is just fine for a stock 3AC, it seems to have plenty of top end power. Once you start increasing flow in other areas by changing the cam, etc., I can imagine it becoming a restriction.

ive built two megasquirts already, and they are very easy to tune, for my car im saving a bit beacause i want to go all out on my mirage and turbocharge the hell out of it, and its pretty easy, then again its a matter of preferences

I read the MegaSquirt page...
From how they describe it, you are either running a trial/error attempt until it fixes or you have programming knowledge. In other words, I am confused... If I were to use MegaSquirt, what would be best for future expansion, i.e. Turbo or even TwinCharge? How the hell would I program it? Etc???

All apparent success stories. First is on a Turbo'd 3E, the other 2 are 4AGE's.
