Exhaust Manifold

Post by Aldavr6 »

I was wandering If there is an aftermarket header that can fit in a 3A-C. If not, there is another way to improve that area?

There are not headers available for our application unfortunatly.
Take a look at http://www.skiwagons.com though. Last I heard they were developing something.

When you put the 3asu manifolds in, did you use the 3ac gasket and a 3ac head? Let me re-phrase, will the 3asu manifolds bolt up to a 3ac head and 3ac gasket?

they bolt right up, the only diference is that it is a 4-2-1 design with bigger runners and better shape

Are the intake and exhaust manifolds on your 3ASU the same as on the 3ASCV?

A mild port will open the mannie up a bit more.
Or you could go my route and attempt to engineer something?

So the 3asu and 3ascv exhaust manifold are the same? Only the intake manifold changes? Do you know if the 3as manifold has a larger diameter output than the 3ac? How about the 4ac? My local napa shows that the 4ac and 3ac use the same integrated manifold gasket; ergo a 4ac exhaust manifold should bolt up to the 3ac head. I am looking to do a 1.75" or 2" exhaust from the manifold back.......

they all are different, the best exaust one is the 3asu, the runners of the intake manifolds are the same the only thing that changes is the shape of the carb, as for the exhaust go for 2 inches, after i finish doing the mods i have im going 2.25 inch
