What are you talking about? The green plug, the fitting with nothing connected to it, or the wire that is spliced into another wire with a scotch connector?

If you follow the wires you will see they go to the choke and fuel cut off solenoids. You need that for the carb to work properly. You can do a search on here for how to check the choke and solenoids because if they malfunction they can cause issues.

I knew they went to the choke but if I move the plug a clicking noise happens around the carb so I wanted to know the name of the plug

youll need to fix that. if theres clicking thats the fuel cutoff solenoids. not going to say thats causing your issues, but its not good to have them clicking on and off just by touching the plug.
