Hey guys,
I have always been intrigued by these tercel wagons and I finally found one that seems worthwhile:D . Definetely wish this puppy had the 6 speed in her but I wonder if a manual swap would be too crazy. The only thing that really worries me is the auto trans and the "heat" issue described, hoping that it's not a blown headgasket etc. It has pretty darn clean exterior along with PLAID SEATS BABY!!
Anyways $2500 OBO sounds pretty sweet to me lmk what y'all think.

Welcome to the forum, olive.osb. I personally don't like the automatic Tercels very much, and the auto-to-manual swap is a big project that requires some fabrication and modifications -- there are no kits for it so you have to figure that stuff out on your own. Couple those things with the running hot issue and I would personally not be interested in this car.
FWIW, head gaskets on these cars aren't a bad job. If this car was a manual trans one and needed a head gasket, I would offer $1000-$1500 for it and fix the head gasket.

I think I'm gonna try and offer like $800 lmao. I'll speak with him and see about the running hot issue. Definitely won't be able to do a manual swap but Ig i'll have to continue to look for 'em.
