unless your auto car is 87-88(?) you already have 3.73's. i believe the last two years of the auto got switched to 3.9.

manuals, yes. autos were different. they carried 3.73 till 86, then switched to 3.9 in 87-88. bet you also didnt know that there are different gear ratios for the fwd transmissions as well.

Interesting. The 1985 Tercel 4WD FSM available on the site refers to the automatic 4WD Tercel having 3.9 gears.

just talked to my buddy, at least the 4wd autos are 3.9, except maybe '84.
