For Sale: 1985 T4WD SR5 4A Swap

1985 Toyota Tercel 4WD SR5 Wagon
5-Speed Manual w/ EL Gear
4A-C swap
Did head gasket job within the last 250 miles as well as the valve stem seals
Also installed new water pump, thermostat, air filter, battery, belts, did oil change and coolant change.

Has some cosmetic rust, as you can see in the pictures. Some dents below the taillights. Otherwise in very decent shape and everything is serviceable if you wish.

Tires are old, brakes will need to be replaced before long. Will include second set of white Toyota 13’s with the sale.

Transmission shifts great, engine runs strong. Has a bit of a high idle right now, but otherwise drives excellently.

Big fat folder of service records from previous owner, this car has been taken care of.

It looks pretty sullen, like someone tricked it to go outside with promises of playing with a ball and probably getting a treat. Instead it was hoisted up without its consent and dropped on a car hood. It assumed it was all a mistake and started to climb down. It was then scolded and re-positioned. The photo is the resultant snapshot in time of sullen puppy.

Car is sold. It had AC and PS, ac non functioning. 280k on body, not sure how many miles on 4A. Im getting my 1997 outback back from a family member that I sold it to. I’ll miss the Tercel. Learned a lot about working on engines while fixing the head gasket. Great forum too, very thankful for the resources here.
