Such a deal for a T4WD owner (2WD Owners, need not apply

Snatch on it, someone!
Well, before the seller's 'ciggie' self-extinguishes from embarrassment ...

It makes sense for it to be for a DLX because the SR5s already had a digital clock in the dash, thus removing the need for this bizarre little trim piece.ARCHINSTL wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 11:50 pm I contacted the seller, and he said that he was listing this for a friend, and further reported that his ad's caveat of "not for an SR5" was accurate - TRUE?
Wasting TOO much time, I looked at my '85 and '86 OMs, as well as the '85 FSM PDF and could find nada.
Any response from a DLX 4WD owner?
Yes - I'm retired, so searching for the number of angels who can dance on the head of a pin is intriguing!![]()

What is so great about the sr5's? I've never owned one.Petros wrote: Thu Oct 25, 2018 4:52 pm who would spend that much for a part on a Non-SR-5 Tercel? It would work in all 2nd gen, non-SR-5, 2wd and 4wd.
Well I've swapped the tach into mine for the cool price of $25, and I'm on the search for some clean SR5 seats, preferably blue. Don't the sr5s also have a sunroof? That seems to me to be more trouble than it's worth.Petros wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 12:47 am SR-5 have better seats (fabric), and a tachometer plus clock in the instrument cluster, and usually better wheels and exterior trim. SR-5 only comes with the manual 5-speed-plus-EL trans. there are a few other minor upgrades, some in two tone paint, but mostly the nicer interior trim is worth it alone.
