Came across the "kumho road venture kl71" the other day. It has a 27X8.5R14 size which I find interesting, considering it is a light truck tire and looks like this:
Which is nice.
Has anyone seen or used these tires before? If so, what do you think? More importantly, would they fit?
They're definitely too big for the stock suspension. I'm running 195/70/14's (25" x 7.5" for reference) and they will touch the inner fender at full steering lock. With a minor lift (pathfinder springs rear, some kind of 2" lift front) they would probably fit with the right wheel offset, although you might need to make the front suspension stiffer to keep them from running into the front fenders.
My tercel:: The General, 85 SR5 w/ Sunroof,Olive Drab paint, Black Interior, custom steel bumpers, Barto BC lift, 1.67L BUILT 3AC w/ Weber Carb. 346,000 miles and counting since restoration
I like the tread but 26"x7s 14R military tires are the biggest I've found to fit. Even with lifting. At 28lbs a tire in 6ply they were way too much rotational weight for our drivetrain. Those are also 32lbs a piece.

I was guessing that. Don't think I've ever heard any good things from Canadian techs either. Good deal on snows for being not quite end of season.
