Re: Autoblog.com Super Rusty T4wd find

I happened to meet Murilee on a Lemons Rally a few weeks back. He was a very nice guy and told me his love for these old cars. He sent me the Clinometer he wrote about in the article listed below. https://www.autoweek.com/car-life/diy/a30696520/when-the-cheapo-tercel-got-the-land-cruisers-dash-incli...

Good on you Mr Wrench for helping a fellow Tercelian out!

Always happy to keep the Tercels on the road!
I have his old seats so we're trading parts back and forth. Haha.

If you can get the transmission out of it, that would be worth saving.
That's my hopes. I gave the lady more than I had wanted for the car. But the price was still good enough to justify the transmission, axle, wheels, some interior pieces, lenses, fenders, grill, spindles ECT.

Re: Purchased the saddest Tercel4wd I've ever found.

I'm not sure what they are made out of but the tailights on Tercel 4wd never fade. Even the license plate frame isn't faded on this car! It's kind of baffling. The HVAC vents are nice looking, the center console and boots aren't bad, the corner lenses are magically intact and many other good parts ...

Re: 1985 Tercel 4wd Restoration

I have a dome light lens, I am planning on making a run to that junkyard I mentioned to you a few weeks back to get some parts. I'll grab the seat carpet holders and black speaker shelves for ya too!

May also have a black clinometer cover to trade?

Purchased the saddest Tercel4wd I've ever found.

Hey everyone, recently got a lead on a Tercel that had been sitting for many years. The owners said the car wasn't running properly and sounded like it was firing on 3 cylinders, so they parked it back in the woods with plans of fixing it in the springtime. But come spring time, addicts had taken a ...

Spud is heading out to Colorado on Wednesday morning!

Hey everyone, happy to share that Spud, my 85 Tercel is heading out to Colorado for another Lemons Rally. We went with a Pizza Planet theme this year. We will be climbing pikes peak with this little wagon. (thankfully we followed the Petros thread for MR2 brake conversion!) If anyone is interested i...

Croz, where are you located and what's your price for the wagon? Would possibly be interested in picking it up.

Let me know, thank you!

What does he have? I'm about 13 hours away. While it's a haul, I could make it in a weekend depending on what's available and what the prices are.

Let me know, Thanks!

Man, what I would give to shop from this brochure...
It's for sale on Yahoo Auctions in Japan. I can send you the link if you're interested. It was $33 USD + whatever shipping would be.

Cool Sprinter Carib accessories manual I found online.

I found this on Yahoo Auctions in Japan today. Pretty cool to see all the accessory options these cars got in Japan. Re: M/T trans fill/inspection plug replacement

Looks like a well worthwhile upgrade. Especially if previous owners or mechanics have slightly rounded them off.

Thank you for this tip! Definitely going to find and order one for the front fill plug by the CV shaft.

Totally fine. I'll pull it back off and check it out. Hopefully it's something simple! I'm not too worried about it working. It's just a cool feature.

Thank you again for this amazing write-up!

Re: MR2 Alternator Upgrade?

Reviving this thread. I am heading out on a 3,000 mile road trip soon and would like to upgrade my alternator beforehand. I have a reman 60 amp that runs at 14.4 volts almost always. But when I have the radiator fan on, the blower motor, radio, recently installed electronic fuel pump and the headlig...
