Re: 4a-fe swapped 87 4wd, no spark

the distributor was made to fit by cutting a 2 inch deep recess all the way down the firewall and filling it in with jb weld or some other sort of rubber by the looks of it, from what the guy told me the heater plenum also had to be modified anyway about those contacts, I removed the distributor the...

Cold/Hot slider issues

hello, I'm the owner a 1984 Sr5 tercel, and I currently have cold to lukewarm heat, the slider only moves about 3/4 of the way to hot and the mode select switch pulls it back over to cold when its pulled to the left, I currently have it apart and it seems that the metal wire that comes from the driv...

finding parts wouldn't be that hard, they still manufacture these cars to this day in Russia and other former soviet states parts are literally everywhere over there, you just have to pay a lot to ship them

Re: Hello from Michigan, just bought a 1984 Sr5

ive never had a car in my life that had functional air, so im used to 4-60 ac :D I probably will get around to painting the window surrounds, but I haven't yet anyway, how much whine is normal with these cars. I heard one guy in a youtube video say "the signature tercel high pitch whine" so I though...

Hello from Michigan, just bought a 1984 Sr5

I've been scouring craigslist compulsively for the past three years just waiting for one of these cars to come up for sale within 500 miles of my house in western Michigan. I've also lurked on this and other Toyota websites learning all I could about these little cars, and last month I finally caugh...
