Re: Portland, OR T4WD Needs Your Help
Thanks for the replies xirdneh and dlb, the head gasket is definitely bad, when it was running it was losing lots of coolant. I am in a bit of a pinch because the registration is expired and the Portland parking patrol has taken note, issuing me a hefty ticket. I would like to find someone in the ...

Portland, OR T4WD Needs Your Help
Hello T4WD!
I have a really nice '83 SR5 T4WD named Oscar that needs help. I believe it will need a new head gasket but I haven't done a compression test to confirm. I would like to find someone who is comfortable working on these wagons to help me diagnose the problem and help with the repair. I ...

Re: What to do with my '83 SR5? Also a peak at my '88 4WD van.
Drege, interesting you mention the Audi quattro with awd. The Corolla All Trac also has the center differential awd and would be more compatible with the T4WD. Has anyone played around with All Trac parts on the tercel wagon? It seems like their transmission would be a good candidate for a 4age 20v ...

What to do with my '83 SR5? Also a peak at my '88 4WD van.
My first car was an '84 Tercel Wagon SR5 that I bought for $500 that had the blue plaid seats and scratches all over the hood from a goat named Kermit that used the vehicle as a boost over the fence. "The Goat Mobile" as my high school friends dubbed it really grew on the young impressionable 16 ...

Re: Speedometer Gear 4wd automatic
I saw a 4WD automatic at a pick-n-pull in Portland. Can't recall the precise location but I think it's Portland South.

WANTED: Working Carburetor
I'm hoping to find a carburetor from a known running Tercel Wagon. My carburetor has been rebuilt and tested but I can't get the car to idle because there's something wrong with the fuel mixture. Now I'm at the point where I'm done tinkering with the old carb and want to find a different one. If ...
