4AC goes much better than the 3A. Much more torque so you don't have to change gears going up hill so much. This car would be perfect for someone who wants a real easy swap over motor.
The new motor had done 135,000 kms when i bought it. I have recepts. There are some photos already on this forum ...

I have a 1986 Tercel Sr5 for sale

I have recently installed a 4AC motor and done a radiator conversion to allow for the larger corolla radiator.

It includes:
Central Locking
Air Conditioning (Which i have just had regased)
Pioneer CD Player
AM CB radio
Raised Springs (King Springs)

Just completed a Successfull swap from my tired 3AC which had done 350 000 kms to my new 4ALC from an 87 Rolla with 143 000 Kms on it!

Big job. 22 hours in total. started 7 in morning and finished at 5 next morning.(Including going out for parts etc.) Just a Quick list of things ...

Just on the positive camber thing, I have very even tire wear. I have had a wheel allignment done professionally, and have no problem at all with uneven tire wear. So, if all is done as described, i can't foresee there being any ...

sorry bout the delay takza, had a lot of work to do at the moment. Here are a few details on the front strut mods i did in order for the lift to work successfully.

Hey Takza.
Just looked at your post. Sounds like your under the original size. Are you Sure that you measured correctly. When you sat CENTRE, i take that to be the centre of the pivot. ie, the centre of the bolt which holds the arm in place.

Basically the idea with the front strut is to compress the strut more to bring it back to its normal travel position. it was in its top end of stroke so the metal packer and washers are helping the strut to compress more so that i would gain more top end travel.

The front springs were sagged 1.5 ...
