The cablesnormally seizes and needs lube. It's pretty rare to have that valve lock. More common to have it leak or be crushed during service.
I have a few on hand if you need one.

Re: 80ish mph. Anyone else get er purring?
With my built 4ac puttin down 106ftlbs of torque in 2wd, weber carbed and delta performance cam on 3.73 gearing I can get upto around 110mph on flats with an average of 14mpg. Guzzles gas and eats cv axles.
Larry's is stupid fast. 20 to 60mph in 3rd gear in a second or two.

Re: Carrier bearing bushing play - how much is acceptable?
Little play or deflection ok. Maybe 1mm at the bearing. If the bearing has off spots of clunks it's toast. Carrier bearing rubber bushing should have no more than 7mm deflection up and down.

Re: Fuel Tank Baffles
Toyota 6 bolt EFI Fuel Pump sender only fits from the Corolla Coupe GTS AE86s 85-87 inT4WD wagon. Sedan tank isn't as deep. 88 plus went to a larger diameter and 7 bolt pump housing flanges. There should be baffles in the tank surrounding the pickup and fuel level sender. Not major wall panels but g...

Re: CV axle interior bearings
You can try replacing the bearings in either side of a CV axle on a Tercel, either way you're setting yourself up for a catastrophic failure. The play is from wear and wallowing in the bearing gateways. The amount of time to remachine for a larger diameter bearing in the gateways and then reheattreat...

85 SR5 unibody panels
Last call befor I fully cut up Galena Canadian 85 SR5 4wd. 151k Some pretty bad cancer spots but a number of remarkably clean panels. No charge for unibody pieces. Sunroof top is spoken for. Let me know if you need something and I can cut off accordingly. Also have interior/ exterior bits at reasona...

Re: 83 sr5 maxima vq30de & 350z 6 speed swap
The stock open rear end is good for a limited amount of torque. After about 200ftlbs, the open diff eats a pinion. It's a fun chasis for a RWD setup. Your going to want to use AW11 MR2 85-89 front hubs/knucles to deal with the removal of the front CVs. Stubbin the stock hubs doesn't work well. Looki...
Re: Uteble
No photoshop there. Just 3 minutes with the sawsall. 4doorVIP, its sad how nice some of the metal is and sadly amazing how bad some of the rot is. I'm going to cut Galena, the name for her we decided on, in the next few weeks. Most of her parts have a home now past do. Tim earmarked to cluster and e...

Re: The Definitive List of Ways to Lift a Tercel 4wd
I would like to attempt lift #5 and have a question. I already have the strut mounts but the bolts are not long enough to accommodate a one inch spacer. That is where it goes right? What was done with the one in the picture? If a welder isn't available, you can also order longer studs from rockauto...

Canadian car will work. I have one but it's spoken for. I'm sure one of the Canadian Forum members can track one down for you as long as you don't mind it reading 340,000 Kilometres plus.
