Re: Icelandic tercel

The 4wd Tercel was very common in Iceland and quite a few of them still survive. Very practical cars in icelandic conditions.

I think about half the Tercels in Iceland were RV specials. I have had both kinds and I think the only difference between them and the others were the tremendously cool and ...

My new ride

So I´ve got a new ride now. Not a Tercel but an interesting car non the less. My nephew is getting his drivers liecence in a couple of weeks time and I gave him the Terc.

Here are a couple of pictures of my new ride. It´s a Suzuki Jimny 2008. I bought it after it rolled over. Fixed it up, raised ...

e-spec parts! bumpers, headlights and more

I´ve got lots of e-spec parts here in Iceland. I think shipping to the US is probably cheaper than from the rest of europe, at least it should be we are closer :D

The least expencive way to ship to the US from here is by sea. There is a $20 starting fee plus $5 per lbs.

I´ve got eu head lights ...

Re: Tercel Jump Video

I think unfortunately many tercels get no respect.
But it is amazing just how much abuse these T4wd wagons can take :)

Re: quest for better mileage

one thing dawned on me this weekend
the White car is the only one that does not have power steering.
For anybody wondering, removing the power steering belt still leaves these cars very driveable. It's not the typical heave-ho like most cars with power steering. I'd put it back on for any serious ...

Thanks for the tips.

I´ve put some radiator stop leak in the radiator. I also didn´t fasten the cap tightly. I am hoping that it will keep the radiator from building up pressure. I´ve been driving it that way for a week with no problems. Have just added a little water once. Hopefully it ...

Radiator swap options??? does a AE95 radiator fit?

My radiator is leaking! And I can´t find a descent used one from a tercel. Do any other toyota or non-toyota radiators swap easilly into 4wd Tercels? Does anybody know if a AE95 radiator fits in a tercel? I think it is a bit bigger and has the electric fan on the rear of the radiator. I was ...

I had a corolla AWD. It´s a reliable car but it does not have the selectable FWD/4WD or the extra low gear that the Tercel has. It is also a bit heavier and a lot thirstier than the Tercel. I quickly changed back to Tercel 4wd and have no regrets :)

Another Icelandic Tercel

Great to see I´m not the only silly person who drives a 4wd Tercel and actually enjoys it!

I´ve had 3 Tercels that I´ve used as daily drivers for the past 5-6 years. I bought my first one as a cheap winter car. I never imagined that I would grow to love the little ricebucket. All my ...
