One of the best "Classic" rock stations here in LA went to a new format recently. Their slogan is "Playing what we want" they have over 2,000 songs and it's supposed to be like your I-Pod on shuffle. Today, they played Nirvana followed by Paul Mc Cartney then Tone Loc. Has anyone else heard of this Jack type station?I'm not sure I like it, but it's interesting. <_<

Haha! Yeah, we got that station here a few months ago. I don't really like it much either. They play some good songs, but too many that don't do anything for me. I like the stations that 'play what I want'.

Yeah, I've heard it here in LA. Can't remember what I was listening to but the announcer is funny.

They are here in Nashville, too, although I haven't listened . They created a bit of a stir when they abruptly changed the format of the most popular "oldies" station and booted the DJ's who'd been on-air since the days of the dinosaurs.
