So from what I understand, graphite lube is best for the cable itself? Do I need to grease or lubricate the 90* connector? I just thoroughly cleaned it with liquid wrench cause it was really dirty inside and out. Any other tips are greatly appreciated, as I know as much about what I'm doing as I can find info online. Thanks for your help!Speedo Cable Lube

I would lubricated it, it has plastic gears and some light graphite lubricant would be a good idea. I use light graphite grease on the speedo cable, it slides out and you can carefully slip it in as you smear fresh lube on it.

Re: Speedo Cable Lube
Are the spray cans of graphite adequate, or do I need to find the grease kind?

Like this stuff for the cable? It does get very cold in winter in Vermont, so I want to make sure I'm using something that will withstand cold temps well while doing the job.
