A simply AMAZING product!
Here is the link to the company's product site - http://www.spillcontainment.com/everdry, with FAQs at the bottom of the page. No prices, though.

Those were my exact thoughts. But, if you really break it down, what doesn't give you cancer?

it seems like everything is eventually found to cause some type of long term health problems but there are some things that we should obviously stay away from, and some things that are fine in moderation. i don't think i would want to touch this product.

The only thing that can really save these Tercs is a loving owner and climate. Just like a business, location, location, location.

I doubt it is toxic, it works by the electrical charge at the atomic level. Wax and water are good examples of this. It is likely a plastic material that is the carrier for however they created the repelling electric charge, so likely no more toxic than two part poleyester or epoxy resin.

Seems to me we want to keep the oil on our cars, it will preserve the metal for corrosion. Not sure if that coating would do that.

Just being seen at a McDondald's is bad enough, and then to consider eating it. Wow, I can honestly say that there is nothing other than death that could make me put that crap in my mouth.

Don't do it SD, don't go to the dark side of the drive thru.

Haha...just a goofy little comment from me I guess. I am totally against fast food. Might as well just eat a bucket of lard and chase it with salt water...pretty much what you are getting anyways.

Oh, did I mention I accidently drank car battery acid when I was younger...I would recommend sticking to lemonade. Bad prank from a buddy, I was not too happy about that...

Just joking of course. Quit going there over 5 years ago. Most other fast food has made my list since then and rarely eat any of it. The prices for that crap is outrageous!

It's not the expensive fast food that worries me as much as the cheap fast food. $0.99 for a double cheeseburger, come on. There is no way that the ingredients in that food can be any good to get such a big sanwhich for that little. Now that scares me.

Subway is about all that I hit up and that is only on road trips. I am a vegetarian so options for me are better at the grocery store anyways. I prefer to pack a small cooler of my own stuff.

But the product does look pretty cool though. Petros makes me feel a little better about the toxicity if it with explaining how it actually works. Still stick by my statement of "how much cancer does it cause?".

good for you, sd. i used to eat fast food as much as the next guy but then i tried going a few years without it. the next time i had combo meal, my guts were in agony for a good hour. i had the same experience a few more times in the years since so that was a sign to me that there was something not right about that food. and yes, it's absurdly expensive. they charge that much because they can--they have armies of fat, garbage-addicted people who are happy to piss their money away for the stuff. i know plenty of them myself.

there's a great book called fast food nation that illustrates the multiple layers of horror caused directly by the fast food market. for example, meat packing companies compete to absurd levels to get the big contracts, but they wind up driving their prices so low that they have to increase production to dangerous levels where workers are hurt and killed. of course, workplace injuries and death are costly so the same companies intentionally harness illegal labour that can be paid criminally low rates under the table and not be able to seek recourse for the brutal conditions. it's like that at every level of the fast food chain. i strongly encourage everyone to check the book out.

What? You do not want all that "pink slim" and perhaps a bit of horse meat thrown in? Perfectly edible I am told. Horse meat btw is legal to sell in Canada, it is usually mixed in with beef in the bugers, some has even made it to the USA. I think some of the bulk frozen bugers sold in the US found horse meat mixed in them. In Enland it was recently reported that their fast food burgers can have up to 40% horsemeat. No complaints that I have heard.

I think they actually lose money on the .99 menu. they make it up with the $2 for french fries (just potatoes bought in bulk) and the $4 shakes. I can not stomach it much either. I usually would go for a subway first, or just get a simple 1/4 pounder with no crap on it. I do not like my food lubricated with grease, thank you. More commonly I stop a supermarket and buy whole wheat bread, sliced cheese and meat, fruit and be on my way. If I buy sliced meat it has to look like meat, not paste. I want to see the grain and texture to know what parts it is made from.

Boy did I derail this thread. Since we are bashing fast food, have a look how nuggets and patties are made. If you dare.
