I don't think there is any meat in there. They should just call them nuggets if they look like that in the beginning...YUCK!.

that was not such a bad video, it appears they did start with something that looks like meat. You should see what goes into the so-called "all meat weenie" or hot dogs, I bet you will not find a video of that, no one would ever eat them again. All cultures ancient and modern have devised ways of take all the very unappetizing parts of an animal and grinding them up and make them look edible, from sausage to haggis, hot dogs is just our "modern" way of doing it.

While often attributed to Bismarck in one form or another, it was first said by John Saxe, ca. 1869:
"Laws, like sausages, cease to inspire respect in proportion as we know how they are made."

OT, but the other motorhead of my HS Lunch Bunch was the former head meat buyer for a large STL grocery chain. The only hot dogs he would ever recommend are Hebrew National, both because of the production conditions and that they are all beef (and not beef "parts," either!).

Petros, yes it is "food", but is very unappetizing to me. I thought that's what the better pet foods were made from(not corn). I stay away from mystery meat as much as possible. Who knows what kind of fillers are added too.

Tom, I've recently heard the same about the hebrew dogs. I only do dogs or brats on camping and fishing trips as they are too easy to transport and cook out in the field.

It's too bad so many are hooked on the crap. Besides obesity, this also reflects on a recent OT post about self reliance. When you eat nothing but fast food , if a crisis happens, how will you live on condiments? Good thing you have fat to burn...

people who live on fast food will have to break out their stash of Twinkies and other snack foods that never go bad (can something already bad ever go bad?).
