Tried unsuccessfully to find one of these on eBay for my dad, does anyone have one or know where one can be bought these days? Thanks!

Yes that's it. Dinkeys we called them but maybe that a Canadian thing. I have one but dads always wanted on too. He's been a Terc owner for longer than I have been so its only fair he should have one too. :)

Hmmm the ones I had found so far were either in Hong Kong or the UK... That one appears to be in the USA so it's tempting. Would prefer a smaller one still if it's available but that one looks like a good deal compared to the $150 the non North American ones looked to cost. Thanks dlb!

Actually this guy says he's in the USA it looks like but it says the car ships from Hong Kong. Is that too risky to try to buy? Thoughts?

i've bought lots of stuff from overseas with ebay over the years and never had any problems whatsoever. are you getting this as a xmas gift? if so, i guess it's time sensitive but if not, i would wait and keep checking for the dinky toys. i know i've seen them on ebay semi-regularly and i don't look for tercel stuff on there often.

Yeah I think I should do that too, thanks. I'll keep an eye out. I'm semi surprised nobody here has one of these things, they look pretty cool from the photos, not an NA model it appears though.

Dads original Tercel and his daily driver is an '84. It's got something like 740,000 km now. He has the Texas Tercel in his garage, not too much has happened with it since we got it in 06, there's a thread on here about that with pics. He also has a green, GRREEEEEN Terc as well. I forget the year. Mine has 436,275 as of yesterday when I marked down the winter tire install. Hope things are good with you and yours too! Thank for your help here too, I've messaged the seller, looks like he's in the USA and the cars ship from HK... I'll see what he says. Take care, and if you happen to see a teeny Terc on eBay before I do please give me a heads up here if you can. Thanks!

The green one is available through various North American vendors for USD65-69.
HOWEVER...the gold (aka Topaz) color is available ONLY from the German vendor; it is a limited edition run of only 300.

The price, delivered in the USA, is only - another drum roll, please - €89.95, or USD115...

I thought about it - but then realized that 1/43 scale would be a model less than 4 inches long. :(
A shame - it looked SO detailed - and even with an inclinometer.
