Hi Folks, I've got an 85 manual transmission 4x4 terc that is my sweet sweet baby. Transmission died about two months ago... yes, I am sure it's the transmission. I've looked at all my local pickn'pulls, talked to all my mechanic buddies here - no dice. I've been shopping for other cars meanwhile, but mine is the one that I want.
I live in the SF bay area - does anyone have a tranny they are selling? HELP!

worst case scenario, buy a beater that has a good trans and swap it on. just make sure it's the right final drive ratio: 83 and 84s have the 3.73 while 85-88 have the 4.1. do a search on here to find out how to tell them apart. it's not obvious.
