This car was my wife's daily commuter from Denver to Boulder for the last year. She was averaging 30mpg! Everything works on this car, including the power moonroof. This car has low miles for a classic - 205,000.

I purchased this car in 2001 with 148K miles and had to replace the engine in 2004 at 184K miles, so I installed a Jasper engine ($1,900) that was expected to get 75K miles. I had this in for a routine service in February 2012 and the car stalled on a commute home from Boulder. I had this car towed to The Toy Shop (all service done here in last 2 years) and Greg Hotchkiss (owner since 1993) found that 2 of the cylinders have lost compression. My wife decided it was time for a large car to acccomodate our 3 kids, so we will not be repairing this car. This car is parked at The Toy Shop (303.744.6282 - thetoyshopdenver.com) and you can call Greg to find out what it would take to repair this engine as everything mechanically on this car has been fixed (over $10K in receipts available).

Some of the long list of Options include:

SR5 trim was the top of the line in this car and has many features
White with gray interior (non-smoker)
$3K Alpine stereo with Sirius satellite
Full roof racks with 2 bike trays and Yak basket
Upgraded wheels/tires (14 inch with new Goodyear Eagle tires)
Original wheels have snow tires and will be included
Monroe Gas Shocks (2010)
New Toyota Starter last August
New front/rear brakes (2010)
New front axles with rear axle bearings and seal (2010)

I don't have any current pictures, but you can see the car at this shop. I hate to part with it as it's a fantastic winter car and the 4WD is exceptional when needed. I had everything done on this car to make this a safe, reliable car for my wife's commute. I'm taking a big loss on all that I have invested, but know this will be a great car for someone once the motor is repaired.

Please respond if you have any questions or would like to see this car.

"$3K Alpine stereo with Sirius satellite"??

holy doodle. that's just a tad excessive, especially considering that the road noise in these cars makes music while driving almost equivalent to music while vacuuming. if i were that serious about music in these cars i think i would invest that money in thorough sound dampening first.

Yes, stock they are really noisy. I tore out the interior & carpet on mine and put sound and thermal insulation from the firewall to the rear hatch. Made a huge difference in comfort and the A/C got the car really cold without all of that heat coming from underneath. Took a ton of time.

I wonder if the seller took the trouble to contact Jasper, or have the installer contact it.
I have a Jasper reman in my '88 Dodge/Mitsu p'up with the 2.6 engine - no probs at all (with the installer, Yes, but not Jasper).
Jasper even removed the "Silent Shaft" feature with this Mitsu engine (standard when they do these) and the engine is not a whit different.
It has a good rep for rebuilding all sorts of engines - from marine to stationary to tractors to over-the-road tractors to cars. It is located in IN.
