OEM Carb Rebuild Kit?

Post by hberdan »

What brand carb rebuild kit is best for the stock OEM carb? Anyone have a good part number? Couldn't find any solid info in the search engine.
I think it's time for a rebuild. Am going to try to do this sometime in the next couple of weeks. The carb was rebuilt about 120K miles ago (!), but my mileage lately has dropped to about 19 mpg. I replaced the aux accel pump diaphragm in January after discovering a fuel smell and the diaphragm broken; but the mileage is not improving, even with the warmer weather and not idling for warmup as much. Choke seems ok, but have not checked the float yet. No fuel pump, fuel tank or line leaks.
Thanks!
