OE Front Suspension Bushings, Coil Insulator, & Ball Joints

Post by ARCHINSTL »

Received late 2007 from Butler Toy in Indy. They are OE, and in the instances where available from AZ, ADV, NAPA, et al, the prices are better from Butler - and there is free shipping over $200 - and it is Toy OE...
The numbers should be good for every Toy dealer.

O.K., I've listed in red prices in 2011 for the parts Tom has listed below. My prices are in parentheses in red for the quanity noted. Hard to imagine why they would raise the cost 23% but I guess it costs more to track, house and inventory since the parts were made a long time ago. Could they be getting in short supply?

I went to the Toyota dealer for the cushion to arm bushings and sleeves... they wanted $115 for all. I walked away.
After reading this thread
https://tercel4wd.com/forums/viewtopic.php? ... bar#p59408
I found this kit on ebay.au
Toyota Tercel 4x4 83-88 Superpro Front ARB To Lower Control Arm Bush SPF1064K

I ended up ordering them from a seller in UK because the shipping rate was better.
Here is the link to what I bought
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI. ... OC:US:3160

Likely this link will die, so just search this part number in ebay, or ebayUK or ebayAU. SPF1064K

Kit comes with all 4 polyurethane bushings and the sleves. $53USA Shipped.

Interesting pricing - but I've encountered similar robbery prices from "my" STL Toy dealers - which is why I started buying from Butler Toy (note that others have had good luck from Conicelli and Village Toy).
The four OE bushings and two sleeves cost me $49 back in late '07; see viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6438
Member SweetwaterJoe updated this in May of last year to $62.

Still better pricing than Canada. I can't remember exactly what I paid, but 5 or 6 years ago, it was around $120 for a kit.

I am wondering if there is anyone who has sourced these bushings in the recent past. These sources listed don't seem to have any stock anymore.

Cool, thanks. They look like they are neoprene. Is that correct?

Yeah, but they work fine- I've had 'em in two of my cars for years and you can't beat the price!

I just got off the phone with my local Toyota dealer and the sway bar collars are now NLA. Anyone have any leads on other sources for these?

Hey David,

The bushings shared by rer233 above are still available. Polyurethane, but I’ve not heard complaints from folks that have tried them.

It's the metal collar that I'm looking for.

*edit* I noticed SirNik's post where he mentioned a kit he bought on ebay, part # SPF1064K, that came with the collars. I just looked and found that kit, and it's only $17 for the kit and $27 for shipping. Fantastic.
