Any downside to running 6-700 RPM idle?

I was a bit amazed that I could set the idle on my '84 this low. It vibrates a bit but seems to run very smooth. Is there any reason to set it otherwise?

yes, it could stall out if you stomp on it too fast, or try taking off from a stop with sloppy clutching. Could die off when idling when really hot out. But no harm done. I would not set it below factory.
