22 T4WD's on Craigslist, week of 4/20-28/10

Here's another installment of my T4WD findings from a nationwide search of Craigslist. I'm again putting all the ads in a single thread, which is a lot easier on me compared to posting separate threads for each listing.

Some of the listings have photos and some don't... you'll have to go to the actual ads to find out. I'd be interested to hear from anybody out there if this type of thread is useful and/or interesting, or any other constructive feedback. There weren't any comments on last week's compilation, but I guess I'll continue doing this for at least a little while... mainly because I'm interested in seeing what's out there, but also to inform others as well.

Nearly all of the vehicles listed here are running, or nearly so. The most recent postings are first, progressing to the oldest at the end. This week there's a surprisingly broad geographic range represented, including ads from MA, NY, TN, WI, MO... and Alaska and Hawaii!

Original owner selling my 1985 Toyota Tercel wagon with 4-wheel drive. Needs a battery, but when running, quickly overheats and boils out the water. May need a water pump or thermostat. Slight right front bumper damage, running light lens needs replacement but car has never been in an accident. Some rust around windshield and also around the sun roof. Runs but needs Crank Shaft Pully replaced. (what belt rides on) Before pully went out it was a great runner for the last year or so
Good motor and tranny
No leaks as far as I could tell
Recently replaced front axle
Has a new battery
Heater works great
All lights/signals work
Just got tabs updated last month
clean title
decent body/decent interior except tear in front seat....cute car a little rust and wear and tear expected for car that old but no major dents or anything to make it an eyesore
good tires
was very reliable before Pully went out

RUNNING CAR...............I have a 86 toyota tercel wagon. Starts up and drives. It was my daily driver. i used it to and from work. Beach and grocery store. around the island. it will take you any where you want it to. Oil changes done every 3-4 months. Recently changed water pump, timing belt, adjusted valves, intake and exhaust gasket's, trans flush, cat back exhaust system. Safety expires in Oct. I DO HAVE AN EXTRA 4AC MOTOR TO GO WITH IT. IF BOUGHT BY THE MAY 15, 2010
CONS:
It has a oil and power steering leak. i add about 1qt. oil every month and 1/4qt. P.S. every 2-3 months.
Reg. expired a couple months ago.
Tires are ok.
steering wheel is off centered but the alignment is in spec. Checked at Lex Brodies.
Drivers window some times have to pull up a bit after it go's up half way.
A lot of rust. but still passes safety. This is what they call a hawaiian car.

NOT RUNNING CAR................... The body is str8 and has very little to no rust at all.
Interior is well in tack. Small rip's here and there. but it has every thing to make 1 solid and good looking ISLAND car.
The engine and Trans. was pulled and I was going to replace it but i have no time any more because i am Moving off island.
SOON SO I NEED TO SELL and They both have papers.

For sale is a 1984 Toyota Tercel Wagon with the SR5 sport package, sunroof, manual transmission with an extra low gear, and fully functioning 4 wheel drive.

The car is in good running condition and just had about 600 dollars worth of work put into it, including a new water pump, a new starter, and a new battery.

This is not the prettiest vehicle, but it runs great, gets about 28-30 MPG, and can make it up and around just about anything with it's four wheel drive capabilities. It also is extremely spacious.

Excellent winter car a little body rust through at the left rear fender but in good over all condition for its age, it has146,00 miles on it and runs strong. Here are a list of parts installed new brakes all around including caliper and rotors new brake hoses for rear new master cylinder. new timing belt and water pump, new distributor cap and rotor, transmission fluid and filter change, good tires (coopers) new exhaust pipe and muffler, new winshield, new alternator belt. Car has alot of cargo space for its size and you can't stop it in the snow it has push button activated 4WD on the fly. I am working on posting pics.
