is that the old smashed fender you're painting?? if so- looks GREAT. if not, is the smashed one still available?

It's the driver's fender off the 83 Red SR5 4WD I totaled 3 years ago. Now the General has two body panels from my old rig.
And yep, still saving the old fender for you. Not sure how you want to go about acquiring it. PM me

I just dropped the General off a DeGrazia's Autobody yesterday. I think I left more on deposit than a few of you have spent for a T4WD runner.

He drove ok considering my eyeball alignment and rebuilt rack w/ new tie rods and AW11 MR2 front strut inserts.

Next up is a 4wheel alignment at Toyota of Lake City and Washington State Highway Patrol Inspection. I've never gone through one of those so I'm a bit worried.

Then I just gotta throw the off road goodies back on and hopefully it's good to go sans the "salvage title".

Synth- still want the crunched fender (or at least part of it- costs too much to ship the whole thing cross- country.) i just need the wheel opening part, took a pic of what i'm talking about- now just have to figure out how to post it. do you have access to an angle grinder?? thanx, Rich.

to post pics, i upload them to a photo hosting site, like photobucket.com or flickr.com. once they're on there you can link to them on here by copying/pasting the IMG code that you'll see for each pic on the photo hosting site.

You can also post directly from you 'puter by going on down to "Upload attachment", then click "Browse," and then just look for the desired pix in your 'puter and hit "Save." It will then pop up. A + for this is that your pix can be left-clicked by a viewer and then it enlarges for finer detail.
I rarely use Photobucket any more (no probs with it - just like the direct deposit method).

ok Synth- going to try to post pic. i'm after the wheel opening portion inside the masking tape- should be a whole lot cheaper to ship than complete fender! been fumbling around for almost 1 hr now-- I GIVE UP!! just too stupid to post pics. are you still at the same address as last april? got a bunch of swag from you then , and i'll just snail mail you the pic.

After much work, BS, more effort, more BS and a bit more work, the General is back up and Running/Street legal.
P.S. F' DeGrazia's Autobody. Long story for another time.

UPDATE: So far I'm impressed with the AW11 MR2 strut inserts with the Corolla All-Trac springs. Still want a sway bar for the rear end.

Also very happy to have the General back on the road even with a marked title.

On a side note,

I now have a little over 400 miles running the AW11 MR2 front strut inserts with All-Trac springs and am pretty happy with the dampening.
Not as much top out as the stock units and it corners well for a lifted car. Firm but much less top out. I've been mainly comparing it between my roommates stock Tercel and my 88 4runner for ride quality. Still wanting a rear sway bar which may complete the feel I want.
