Re: runing hot
How long since you've flushed the cooling system? Could be a partial blockage of some sort, somewhere in your system, and a good flushing could help alleviate the overheating problem.
What is the temperature rating of the new thermostat you installed? Mine's 180 degrees. Suppose you could try a 170 degree thermostat?

didn't you had you engine replace and rebuild to not long ago, did you had motor tested by running it for fifteen min before buy it , or same motor since you bought the car .

Any chance you removed or bumped the electrical connection to the bottom of the radiator when removing the skid plate? - it controls the radiator fan.blade wrote:the cooling system has been flished and we did test the motor and it never did this and i just cant figure it out thereis some thing going wrong some were but when i had the front skid plate off it ran cool but when it is on it is hot.my thermostat is 180 as well.

Re: runing hot
well after taking the car apart i found out that the origanl tempgage was shot so it was reading hot but the car is actualy runing just right, now i have a new mechanical gage and plan on getting a oil and a volt gage. The connector is sill puged in and the fan is hard wiered in and working.
