Stabilzer Bushings,The ones that go to the lower control arm

Post by 8liter »

I can get the the sabalizer bushing to the frame, but I cant seem to find the one that go thru the lower control arm. I put new axles in both sides and thepass. side outer cv pops under load in a corner. I looks like there might be some play in the control arm due the bushings being shot.

I've tried all the parts houses,NAPA,Autozone,Advance. and all the pic's show are just the frame mounts

Is this a Toyota item only?

Thanks

You can find them by looking up under "lower control arm bushings." I have to replace these on my car as they allow the CV joint to move. You might also want to check the ball joint on that side as well.

I got her put back together. The steel bushings that slip over the stabilizer ends that go thru the control arms were gone. I replaced the lower ball joints and controlarm bushings as well as all the bushing associated with the stabilzer bar. Now it needs a pass axle, but I'm still driving her 75 mi. a day. Can't wait for the snow, that is if we ever get any...

Thanks for the help, the part #'s made it easy.
