Camping with the terc pics...

Post by GTSSportCoupe »

More camping. This was a couple weekends ago. The area was North and South of Port Renfrew on Vancouver Island BC. The river is the Gordon River, and the beach is called Sombrio Beach. Enjoy:

You can handle a camera!
Thanks !
The water is so clear - the bumblebee is as well; nice composition.

Nick,
I dont know what you do for a living but if it aint photography...you missed it. The pics are great and the Terc is too just sitting there all behaving like waiting for your next command. Even if I didn't like Tercs I have to buy one after seeing your "out in the wilderness" pics with yours

One day I'll take some of Lyrtle and our environ. see what ya think.

Oh yea the wifey says the pics are grrrrrrrrreat...but where ya wife?...why no pic?

Nice pics. Did you see any old growth trees?

That riverside campsite is OK...except for trying to walk around?

By the way...your Terc isn't quite on the level.

Thanks for all the nice comments again guys. I think it's more the scenery than myself that is responsible for the nice pics.

Lollypop, I've actually got a few pics with the wife in them. I'll try to remember to throw one up. Haha! Maybe it'll help you convince your wife to go camping with you more often?

Takza, yes, I did see some oldgrowth. I really like going as far out on the logging roads as I can, until I find un-touched forest. There isn't much left, but its VERY beautiful when you do find it. I think I've got a couple pics with big trees in them that I can put up. Old growthh temperate rainforest is a pretty amazing thing to see. It used to stretch up the west coast from California to Alaska, but 99% of it is gone now. Now you just see MASSIVE rotten old stumps for the most part. A depressing reminder of what once was.

I've seen small stands of old growth here and there in the western US....you don't forget them once you see it.

Espec remember some big ponderosas...in an area with a lot of big stone outcroppings so it wasn't feasible to get to them.

Some big cedars up the canyons in Oregon. Redwoods...Sequioas.

Very nice! I like pictures: 1, 4,5, and 6. I like 6 a lot. Hopefully, you weren't too scared to be camping too close to the woods with the legendary you-know-what sightings in BC also. I love the pictures. Post more. Keep up the good work, GTS!!! :) :) :) :)
