Got a picture or a part number for us?Petros wrote:there is actually very simple tricky tool to use, harbor freight sells a set for about $4 as i recall. the rag method works too, but you risk losing the clip.

Re: front door window mechanisim repair
yep, that is them! I got my set from Harbor Freight. I first used similar tools in high school auto shop in 1974, but never felt the need to own a set.
But Harbor Freight had them on sale a few years ago for $2.99 or something similar, so I bought a set and never regretted it. one of the best special purpose tools I bought, the fact it is so cheap is what makes it worth it. Saves a lot of time messing around, and it greatly lower the risk of damaging or loosing the parts.

Re: front door window mechanisim repair
I don't really have the welding skills for regrinding my driver side window regulator, so I searched for a machine shop that might be able to do it for me. if you are in the Minneapolis, MN area Milhoff Machine And Welding ( 12701 Sheridan Ave, Burnsville, MN 55337, United States ) fixed mine up really well for under an hours worth of work. For not being able to find them anymore, 70$ was totally worth it.
