That original connector / disconnect might be hard to find. You might try replacing it with an insulated spade disconnect like the yellow one pictured for heavier gauge wire.414d8TcMI7L.jpg Disconnect the battery when installing. You'll need a crimping / stripper tool. If you don't have one, buy a good quality tool that will do it right.

This is the way to go. I have reconnected my distributor with these kind of wires too. Insulation is very important part. Especially if original wire has positive voltage.

I drove my car for the first time today and now it won't get gas to the carburetor I know it's getting gas from the tank and the fuel pump is pumping but it won't get to the carb and I know the fuel filter is not blocked
If you have the answer please help me

There is a small screen filter on the inlet pipe into the carb (in the carb), unless a PO has been in and removed it. The float should be checked as well, it might not be letting fuel in. There is a “sight glass” on the bowl that can be observed, but with limited space and 40 years of dust,etc., I’ve never had much luck using it.

I agree with this. Take the air filter housing off and wipe the glass with a rag. The fuel level is difficult to see even at the best of times because you're looking at a clear liquid through a thick chunk of glass but I have found if I rock the car gently I can see the fuel level when it bounces around a little. If you definitely cannot see the fuel level, the float bowl is either empty or too full.

youre better off finding another column switch assembly

yes, all generations of usdm tercels left the factory with catalytic converters.

do you know what a converter looks like? it right after the downpipe. pipe diameter is either 1 7/8 or 1 15/16. just take calipers to it and check.
