1984 Tercel hatchback brake booster

Does anybody know of a brake booster that will work other than the MR2 that’s not impossible to find. I found a company that can rebuild it but didn’t know if someone might have done a swap with a more readily available one.

all of the second generation Tercels should use the same booster. the front wheel drive two door, and four door hatch back, as well as the 4wd wagons, should all have the same booster from 1983 through '86, and the wagons through '88.

I do not know about any other models, the corolla one might work but I have never compared them.

Rock auto has one in stock right now, kind of costly, but it is for '85-86. so check there.

oddly they have some brands that list their applicability as '83-86, and others brands that list then as for '85-86. but I know they are all interchangeable, perhaps there was a slight change in the design, but all should be interchangeable.
