Rear Window Washer Pump Location

I have a 1983 4WD wagon. in the front of the car I have a single reservoir for washer fluid and it has a standard pump with one outlet that feeds the front windshield wipers. there is a loose tube near the reservoir that feeds the rear washer nozzle but I cannot find a second motor. I also cannot see where the rear tube is supposed to connect to the reservoir.
can anybody shed some light on how this is supposed to be connected?

Welcome aboard! My guess is a previous owner replaced the defective double-pump reservoir (or coolant overflow bottle- they're riveted together) with an assembly that only had front wiper/washers. You should also have a disconnected 2-conductor plug nearby.

In what part of the world are you located?

Thank you rer233 and dlb! That is exactly the info I was looking for. Now I know my combo coolant/washer reservoir has been replaced with one that did not have a place for a second motor. If I can't find the correct reservoir, I'll just tap into the existing one and mount a second washer pump externally. I'm located in Tallassee, AL. Thanks again!

Good luck. I sold the one from my parts car, but that old plastic can get pretty brittle.
